Planning a DIY trip to Egypt during the Eid Al Fitr holiday? Here’s a detailed itinerary to explore the vibrant cities of Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria. With three years of DIY travel experience, I’ve crafted this itinerary to make the most of your four-day holiday.

Eid Al Fitr Holiday: Sunday, March 30 – Thursday, April 3, 2025
Hostel: Royal Golden Pyramids Inn – SAR 500 (AED 489.66, USD 133.32) through Booking
Number of Travelers: 1
Visa: Are Saudi Resident Iqama holders eligible for a visa upon arrival in Egypt? When I asked the tour provider, they confirmed that it is possible. However, I found it could be risky since I couldn’t find any reliable information online. Therefore, I decided to get my visa from the Egyptian Embassy instead.I applied for a visa at the Egyptian Embassy and received it for SAR 250 (AED 244.83, USD 66.65) within 3 days.

When I was at Dammam Airport during my travel, they asked me for my Egypt visa. Good thing I had it. It’s better to ask the tour provider for advice.

Tour Provider: Best Egypt Holiday. WhatsApp at +201210224297 or +971586557451. They hire an Egyptologist and Tour Guide, and our guide at that time was Sarah (she is so amazing and kind)

Important Tips:

  • Many Egyptians may ask if you will pay in Egyptian Pounds or USD. Always pay in Egyptian Pounds to avoid the black market rates.
  • If you book through travel applications, follow instructions for meetup points and always be on time. Uber works in Egypt.

Disclaimer: This itinerary reflects how I would visit Egypt again. The links and mentioned products are not advertisements or promotions, just showing how I do my DIY travel. Feel free to tweak the itinerary based on your preferences.
